Hannah Johnston: Director of Development        

Hannah Brook: Acting Executive Director/Director of Development

Hannah Brook is responsible for fundraising, event planning and management, sponsorship sales and community partnerships. Her daily schedule changes but her commitment to the center never wavers.

Prior to working at The Rape Crisis Center, Hannah has worked in sales and marketing for several high profile nonprofits and businesses. She helped open the Springs Preserve, assisted with planning and promotions for Super Bowl XL while working for the Wayne County Airport Authority, and established sponsorship programs for The Detroit Zoological Society. Her strong communication skills have helped raise hundreds of thousands for worthy causes.

 

Hannah Brook received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Toledo, in Toledo, Ohio. She has been active in the Las Vegas community for many years; volunteering with PAYBAC, a program with the Clark County School District in which business professional share their job experiences with students, and serving on the DARE board of directors. Hannah also volunteers with the Las Vegas Rescue Mission.

Wendy Richau: Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Wendy Richau: Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Wendy Richau is a native of Henderson, Nevada. Born and raised in the valley, she has seen quite the growth. She is the proud parent of a married daughter who has two children.

Wendy started her career in the casino restaurant business as a bus girl, moving on to casino management. She wanted to learn a trade she could take anywhere in the U.S. so she took up bookkeeping.

Since coming to The Rape Crisis she has taken the Victim Advocate Classes and become a Notary Republic. She is taking other classes to further her growth in the world of finance.

Wendy Losada: Bilingual Advocate/Facilitator

Wendy Losada: Bilingual Advocate/Facilitator

Ms. Losada has been working in the victim advocacy field and faith-based community outreach projects for over four years. She served as the executive secretary of the Nevada Interfaith Coalition for Victim Services and Safe-Faith United, Inc. for three years. She is a compassionate individual who volunteers her time to helping victims of domestic violence. She enjoys helping others and volunteering. She is passionate and involved with her ministries at church which include: “Children’s Church”, “Feeding Program” and “Prison Ministry”, to name a few.  She is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.

Beverly Zimmerman: Director of Client Services and Education

Beverly Zimmerman: Director of Client Services and Education

Beverly Zimmerman has served as university faculty teaching undergraduate and graduate level literacy, special education, assessment, and English classes at Long Island University and St. John's University in New York and at the College of Southern Nevada. She worked in a variety of urban school and district level positions beginning her career as classroom teacher, and later served as reading teacher, director of English language arts, and elementary school principal. Beverly served as staff developer, teacher trainer, program review specialist for the Chancellor’s Office, New York City Department of Education, President, New York City Language Arts Educators Association and visiting professor at Long Island University.

Her professional responsibilities during her career have included developing curriculum and literacy programs, organizing and conducting professional development for teachers, principals, assistant principals, district administrators, special education supervisors, teacher leaders and staff developers.

Literacy Works, LLC, her educational consulting company has provided services to schools and school districts in the New York City metropolitan area advocating professional growth for teachers and administrators. Beverly has also presented workshops at local and national conferences which have received favorable feedback from teachers and administrators
