Daniele Dreitzer: Executive Director

Daniele Dreitzer is Executive Director for The Rape Crisis Center.  Prior to joining RCC in March 2013, Ms. Dreitzer served in several other positions in the non-profit community in Southern Nevada.

Most recently, Ms. Dreitzer worked as the Program Director for the Sojourn Foundation, an organization working to combat child sexual abuse and exploitation, and Communities in Schools of Southern Nevada as the Executive Director.

From February 2002 until August 2011, Daniele served as the Executive Director of Henderson Allied Community Advocates, DBA HopeLink. During her tenure at HopeLink, she helped to lead the agency from an annual budget of $400,000 with a limited scope of programs to an annual budget of approximately $2 million with a full spectrum of housing and family support programs.  HopeLink was selected as the Outstanding Charity of the Year 2006 by the Nevada Community Foundation, and received a commendation from the City of Henderson for outstanding service to the community in March 2009. The organization also served as a pilot location for the start of the Differential Response program, a statewide collaboration between the Clark County Department of Family Services, Washoe County Social Services, and State Division of Child and Family Services to respond to abused and neglected youth in a new way.

Prior to joining HopeLink, Daniele worked for the American Cancer Society in a variety of positions between 1997 and 2002, including Government Relations Manager for Nevada, Breast Cancer Program Manager, Cancer Control Director and Interim Vice President for Cancer Control for a three state division including Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada.

Daniele has lived in Las Vegas for over 16 years.  She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, earning a BA in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies in 1993, and staying at the University’s George Warren Brown School of Social Work to get a Masters in Social Work in 1994.  Daniele then worked as a research coordinator for the university for another two and a half years.

Daniele is a graduate of the 2005 class of Leadership Henderson and was the first to receive the 2004 Class Scholarship.  In her free time, Daniele enjoys hiking and being outdoors, singing in her Temple Choir, volunteering with a variety of different issues and causes, and spending time with her daughter Julia and two dogs.

David Kenney: Court Advocate

David Kenney has been a resident of Las Vegas for more than 30 years. He joined The Rape Crisis Center team in 2013 as a court advocate. Previously, he served more than four years in the United States Air Force as a security specialist and spent a majority of that time stationed in Germany. Upon his return to Las Vegas, David went to work as a casino bartender. Following this he earned an associate’s degree in paralegal studies and worked in the legal field for the next 20 years. During that time he gained invaluable experience helping clients navigate the legal system, explaining processes and procedures, and offering emotional support and guidance whenever needed. It is that aspect of the work that he considers most important and fulfilling. David is currently working toward an associate’s degree in women’s studies. He aims to find solutions to the cultural influences that lead to gender-based violence. He considers it an honor and a privilege to be on staff at The Rape Crisis Center and to play a role in offering compassionate care, support and understanding to all clients.
