Hospital After Care – What Happens Next |

- Upon leaving the hospital, you may have medication to take. Refer to the pink discharge paper you were given by the nurse. If you are unsure of what to do, please call The Rape Crisis Center 702-366-1640
- Get plenty of rest. You have been through a traumatic event and your body will want to rest. Also, you must eat prior to taking any medications.
- Follow up with the Clark County Health District at 7 days and again at 45 days to test for Sexually Transmitted Disease and for the HIV (AIDS) Virus. When you arrive at the Clark County Health District, make sure you show them your PINK hospital instructions and they will expedite your testing. Clark County Health District – 702-385-1365
- As a victim of crime, you may be eligible for reimbursement for certain out-of-pocket expenses. You will receive a letter the mail with instructions on how to apply for Victims of Crime Compensation. Please fill out both forms and mail back to The Rape Crisis Center in the envelope that has been provided. If approved, Victims of Crime Compensation funds can help with counseling, time off from work and medical care, if needed.
