College Internships PDF Print E-mail

The Rape Crisis Center provides internships for college students. All interns must complete an application, interview with the Volunteer Coordinator, and an extensive background check. Once approved, interns are required to complete a 50-hour training course before doing any work with clients. Students must be 21 years of age or older, possess a reliable form of transportation, own a working cell phone, and have reliable child care (if applicable). All students interested in choosing The Rape Crisis Center as their internship site must first get it approved by the college/university they are attending. It is also important to find out whether or not the 50 hours of training will count towards the required internship hours.
