Part-time Employment with CAP Program The Rape Crisis Center welcomes energetic, fun-loving individuals to work as CAP (Child Assault Prevention) facilitators. Facilitators must be able to travel to local elementary schools and facilitate workshops with second grade students, focusing on concepts of empowerment and skills in learning to identify and prevent assault. The individual must be 21 years of age or older, possess a reliable form of their own transportation, and have reliable child care (if applicable). Facilitators should have flexible schedules with an ability to work 3-12 hours per week. Experience working with children is preferred and good communication, presentation and memorization skills are a must. Applicants must complete an application, interview with the CAP Coordinator, and consent to an extensive background check. Once hired, applicants must attend a training course on the CAP program, learning the script for presentations and role plays, as well as related issues.
