The Rape Crisis Center reaches out to any and all Post Secondary students in who have a desire to learn more about the Mission of The Rape Crisis Center and to further their knowledge about sexual crimes. We also are able to do presentations about any subject relating to sexual violence. These presentations are an important part of the student’s school year as the topics discussed can help to protect and educate students about the warning signs of sexual violence.
Topics discussed include: Definitions of sexual crimes Nevada Law regarding sexual crimes Date Rape and Date Rape Drugs Internet Safety and Internet predators Sexual Assault and how to report it Stalking and Harassment What to do if they have been abused What to do if they have a friend who as been abused Abuse is never the victim’s fault These presentations are interactive and The Rape Crisis Center’s trained staff and volunteer presenters encourage questions and give appropriate answers.
